Digital ESG Guide for SMEs
The Digital ESG Guide for SMEs was developed within the project “Digitally Sustainable Green Transition of SMEs in RS – DiGreenSMEs”. The project is implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, within the EU Initiative for Private Sector Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with financial support from the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, and is part of the broader GIZ program “Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion (SEDEP) in BIH”.
The guide is intended for SMEs that want to develop or improve their ESG reporting practices, in line with modern market requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks. It is structured as a thematic unit that includes basic ESG concepts, three ESG components, materiality assessment, relevant standards and requirements, as well as the process of preparing an ESG report.
The content of the guide includes practical examples, checklists, ESG indicators, dual materiality assessment and guidelines for data collection and processing. A separate section is dedicated to the preparation of ESG reports, while the final knowledge test allows for self-assessment of understanding of key concepts of sustainable business and ESG reporting.
