Together with the Director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zoran Tegeltija, the Head of the Brod Customs Office, Ilija Anić, and representatives of the company “Maks Gradnja,” which owns the terminal, they toured the premises where customs officers will work in the future, as well as the offices of freight forwarding companies that will continue their operations at this new location.

The Mayor wished much luck and success to the officers, management, and investors who have invested their capital to create the best possible working conditions, and expressed hope that following the completion of current local government projects, there will be even more work opportunities.

Zečević emphasized that the local government is ready to listen to all initiatives from citizens and businesses, stressing that Brod, as a municipality on the border with the European Union, has strategic potential that should be maximized in the coming period.

Representatives of the Municipality of Brod Participated in Training on the Use of EU Pre-Accession Assistance

By attending a two-day training in Neum on the topic “Preparation of Specific Documents for the Use of EU Pre-Accession Assistance,” representatives of the Municipality of Brod continued strengthening their capacities for the European integration process. This training marked the conclusion of a mini training cycle during which more than 20 representatives of local communities and members of the EU network from various municipalities and cities had the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge about the instruments and principles of using EU pre-accession assistance (IPA III).

Following earlier sessions held in Konjic and Bijeljina—where participants focused on strategic planning and project cycle management—the final training in Neum was dedicated to concrete elements of EU pre-accession programming. In cooperation with lecturers from the Directorate for European Integration, the representatives of Brod worked on practical examples of drafting key documents such as the strategic response, action document, and action fiche.
