Public Call for Proposals for the Development of Circular Business Models

Within the framework of the EU Private Sector Development Initiative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, co-financed by the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and implemented by GIZ, a Public Call has been launched to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) seeking to improve their operations through the development and implementation of circular business models.

The objective of the Call is to help companies enhance their competitiveness, improve resource and energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, foster innovation, and meet the requirements of international markets through the green transition.

What is funded?

The Call supports projects that contribute to more efficient use of resources, waste and emissions reduction, material reuse, the introduction of secondary raw materials into production, the development of circular products and services, and the implementation of digital solutions for process monitoring and optimization.

Particular emphasis is placed on practical and scalable solutions that can serve as examples of good practice for other companies and sectors.

Who can apply?

The Call is open to export-oriented micro, small and medium-sized enterprises registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina and operating in eligible manufacturing industries.

Innovative projects, women- and youth-led businesses, as well as companies cooperating with vocational secondary schools, are particularly encouraged to apply.

Financial Support

The total budget allocated under this Call amounts to BAM 440,061.

Individual grants range from BAM 9,779 to BAM 29,337. A grant may cover up to 60% of the total project value, while applicants are required to provide at least 40% co-financing from their own resources.

Supported projects should demonstrate a clear contribution to business competitiveness, environmental protection, and the development of more sustainable value chains in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We invite all interested companies to attend one of the information sessions, which will be held on 7 July 2026 and 14 July 2026, starting at 10:00 AM.

During these sessions, we will present the Public Call in detail, explain the application process, and provide participants with the opportunity to ask questions and receive additional clarifications.
